Regina, SK home prices: new homes, rents and vacancy

Statistics Canada's new housing price index for Regina stood at 107.4 (December 2016 = 100) in September 2026, up 1.5% over a year and up 10.0% over five years. The average two-bedroom rent was C$1,478 in the October 2025 survey, up 4.2% on the year before. Rental vacancy was 2.7%. Builders started 1,675 homes in the last 12 months. Our simple reading of these numbers: prices steady.

What the numbers say

• New-home prices about flat (+1.5% over a year).
• Rental vacancy 2.7% (+0.2 points in a year): balanced.
• Average two-bedroom rent up 4.2% over a year.
• Housing starts in the last 12 months down 1% on the 12 months before (less new supply coming).
